Brunka is a domestic bred mare from the well known Saga farms in California. She has a lot of time under saddle on the trails. She is an elegant looking mare with a strong build and easy gaits. She is a very strong mare having been used on guided trail rides in the steep hills of Kentucky. Brunka has a big heart and will make an excellent horse that the whole family can enjoy.

In Icelandic the name Rekja symbolizes the silvery glow that morning dew casts over the ground. Rekja is hands down the friendliest horse on the farm. She will literally run alongside you in the pasture following you everywhere. She is the daughter of our first-prize stallion, Skírnir frá Skjólbrekku, and our mare Lilla from Sva∂ilfarí. Lilla is a blue dun palomino color and is hands down the most interesting color on the farm. Lilla is by the first-prize palomino stallion, Dagur frá Mosfellsbæ, and out of the dark blue dun mare Góla frá Laxnesí. Lilla’s grandsire on her dam’s side was the famous Icelandic stallion, Náttfari frá Ytra-Dalsgerði. Rekja is a very promising five-gaited mare that will make anyone a true companion in competition, on the trails, and as a brood mare.
